Great Friday afternoon on 3rd March for our swimmers at our Semester 2 Swim Gala. So proud of all the swimmers, especially seeing young swimmers making their debut on the competitive scene. Fabulous results from our Stingray, Mini Squad & Junior Squad swimmers. Its always a pleasure to see their progress & development from semester to semester.
Thanks to all the parents who helped to make a great afternoon of positive competitive environment.
We are very proud! Go Waves!
Waves team - Lana, Jamie, Kalea, Rosheen, Sabrina & Jakub made us proud today at very strong Hamilton Aquatics Development Series by winning 3 medals (1 gold and 2 bronze) with lot of PBs! Well done, go Waves!

1. Swim lessons help fight the winter blues.
While this condition has been commonly know to affect adults, the National Institute of Mental Health revealed that up to 5.5% of 5-15-year-old children may have seasonal affective disorder. So what’s the best way to combat these seasonal blues in kids? Swimming, of course! Swimming lessons can increase the amount of serotonin in your child’s brain and help to improve mood. Now that’s something to smile about! :)
2. Fun with friends doesn’t stop in the pool!
Group lessons at Waves help kids to learn and interact with their peers, while having a whole lot of fun in the process!
3. Swim lessons can actually improve your child’s ability to fight infection.
This one may come as a surprise: your child will not catch a cold from being cold and wet after swim lessons, because colds are actually caused by viruses. While that wet hair might feel a little chilly on the walk to the car, it’s nothing to worry about! So grab a warm hoodie and head on over to Waves for a tropical escape this winter. Think of all the practice your child will get in before heading to beach next summer!
Book your place ASAP for the next 11 weeks term which starts from 8th January to 25th March 2017!
